Mandrel ejection/blowout can often be a difficult process. Sticky tube compounds or restrictions in ejection water pressure (for low pressure hose) can cause bottlenecks in hose plants.

Bell Plastics has enabled a step change in the mandrel blow out process for our customers through development of a surface modified nylon mandrel. The new Bellglide PA mandrels were removed with ease from all hose tested, without the application of lubricant (anti stick materials). Blowout is faster and there will be no lubricant residues left inside the hose (removing potential problems from downstream users).
